corporatehippieconnection  This Full moon begins on December 14th at 3:28 AM Pacific and culminates on December 15th at 1:01 AM Pacific, making the 14th the night when the moon is at its fullest. This is a very beautiful and supported full moon, as the Moon is in its exaltation in the sign of Taurus and conjunct Jupiter. As Taurus is a fixed earth sign, it is the sign of the zodiac connected to solidity and stability. It is connected to sustenance and all things of that nature- money, food, our family of origin, our values, to name a few. The last new moon cycle with the Sun and Moon in Scorpio was connected to what we owe others and the changes that needed to be made in the wake of that. In this full moon cycle, we are moving towards examining the areas of life or the necessities that can create stability for us. Perhaps it is focusing on managing money better, or a clean diet, or even simply being better at taking care of our regular needs. These Taurus themes are extra supported by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, connected with this full moon. The nakshatra (lunar house) of this moon is Mrigashira, which helps us to acknowledge our desires, not to indulgence but rather to fulfillment and satisfaction. As Mrigashira is strongly connected to the plant and animal world, this full moon is very indicated for seeking beauty and even healing through the natural world. This full moon is also said to be the birthday of both Annapurna Devi and Bhairavi, making it an ideal day for remembrance and worship of the Divine Mother, in any form that speaks to you. Maha Mritunjaya Puja Our next Mritunjaya Puja will be on Wednesday, December 11th at 5 pm Pacific. Last month the additional donations went to Yashoda Nandan Seva Trust in Vraj India to pay for a child’s medical expenses. The Maha Mritunjaya Mantra fire ceremony is the most widely used ceremony for strengthening vitality and overcoming health issues. The puja is open and free to all, a donation for attendance is appreciated but not required. While all will gain benefit from attending, the main benefit is reaped from those who name is given in the opening prayer.
